Dated 18th April,2017, World Heritage Day was celebrated by the Archaeological Museum, Sanchi.
Shri R.N. Trivedi the retired teacher of Government School Sanchi, dist Raisen was the Chief Guest of the occasion, while the students from Swami Vivekananda School, Sanchi, Samrat Ashok School Sanchi, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel School, Sanchi and Gyan Ganga Convent School, Sanchi were participated in the function enthusiastically. Besides, local people were also present during the occasion.
Dr. M.C. Joshi, A.S.A., Archaeological Museum, Sanchi welcomed the Chief Guest Other dignitaries were also welcomed by the ASI’s officials. In his welcome speech, Dr. M. C. Joshi spoke on the origin and objectives of the World Heritage Day celebration along with the efforts of ASI in maintaining monument and museum through out the country. Mr. R. N. Trivedi, the Chief guest expressed his view towards cleanliness and its importance in human life.
He also praised the ASI’s efforts in the field of conservation, preservation as well as museum activities. The local people also shared their views on Swachhta Mission and maintenance of monuments and sites. The school children were the real essence of the occasion and they also delivered speeches on the variousaspects of monuments, museums and cleanliness. A patriotic song was also sung by one of the students which was highly appreciated by everyone. The whole programme was very well highlighted by the Print Media.
